Fred moved directly from Manhattan to Orcas Island in 1989 after an exhaustive search for the "right" area. After some consideration, he joined the Coldwell Banker Orcas Island Real Estate Office. In his 13 years here, Fred has continued to be an award winning Realtor with extensive knowledge of all aspects of property ownership and environmentally sensitive issues surrounding land development. It's a rare day when Fred is not engaged in representing clients in matters related to all levels of planning and permitting. People seek out Fred Munder to be their Realtor because he shares their values and realizes that the decision to live in the San Juan Islands is based upon a desire to improve the quality of life.

As a member of various committees since 1991, Fred is intimately involved in formulating plans that shape the future of Orcas Island and the San Juans in general. He continues to utilize his broad range of experience to assist buyers and sellers in their dealings with County planning and permitting. He also lends his skills, pro bono, to the needs of the Animal Protection Society amongst other non-profits and has been a long time member of the Eastsound Planning and Review Committee.

But it's not all work and no play. Fred enjoys being part of the Island community and spending time with his wife, friends and four-legged family members. Rosie, his dog and companion, is the house mascot of the Coldwell Banker Orcas Island office.
